Trolling in Finland

We extensively troll in various areas on Saimaa, and trolling is a very catch-sure form of fishing. Trolling has been a lifelong hobby of mine, and aside from fishing trips, I work in the field of gear sales and manufacturing. Our modern, nearly ten-meter multi-purpose boat, the Axopar 28 Cabin, is best suited for trolling. This boat has everything one can imagine from a contemporary fishing vessel. It features a 12″ multi-function display from Lowrance, radar, VHF, autopilot, electric downriggers with automatic bottom tracking, three sonars, and a Motor Guide electric motor at the bow for anchoring and navigating in shallow waters, among other things. The boat is certified for 7 + 1 people, and the cabin can accommodate up to six people during bad weather. The boat is stable and really fast. The Axopar is equipped with a Mercury Verado 350 hp engine that can reach speeds of up to 45 knots. This boat is truly something that must be experienced. This model has been awarded the Power Boat of the Year title at the Düsseldorf Boat Show.

The Axopar boat can also be used for quick boat trips without fishing, where in just a few hours, you can extensively see Saimaa’s most beautiful landscapes, including rock paintings and magnificent canals. On these trips, there’s also a good chance to spot the endangered Saimaa ringed seal. Besides trolling, the boat’s facilities also offer excellent opportunities for spinning fishing, making it a popular choice for jigging trips. There’s ample space, so jigging for zander, pike, and perch from slopes and shallows is exceptionally successful with this equipment. Comfort is ensured by a water toilet and a heated cabin. During the summer heat, the entire roof can be opened to enjoy the cooling air flow. If only the best is good enough, then choose an Axopar trip.
