Trolling in Finland

We extensively troll in various areas of Lake Saimaa, and trolling remains one of the most reliable and exciting forms of fishing. It has been a lifelong passion of mine, and in addition to organizing fishing trips, I also work in the field of gear sales and manufacturing.

For our trolling fishing trips in Eastern Finland, we use our easily maneuverable Tracker Targa V-19 Combo boat. The boat is equipped with the latest electronic aids, such as side-scan sonar, modern Lowrance Active Target precision fishing technology, and top-class fishing equipment that elevates the certainty of catching fish and the excitement of fishing to an entirely new level. The boat is certified for eight people, but the optimal group size for trolling on the Tracker is four to five persons.

The boat can also be used for scenic trips without fishing, where in just a few hours you can experience Saimaa’s most beautiful landscapes, including ancient rock paintings and magnificent canals. On these excursions, there’s also a good chance to spot the endangered Saimaa ringed seal. Besides trolling, the boat’s facilities offer excellent opportunities for spinning fishing, making it a popular choice for jigging trips.

The price of a trolling trip depends on the equipment used, group size, fishing area, and duration of the trip, and is calculated individually after clarifying each variable.
